Coffee with a Chaplain
Some need the comfort given by someone listening to their story, a story that needs to be heard but not repeated. Chaplaincy is being present and listening to the story of someone’s life, whether it is of life’s troubles or of one’s exciting life’s events.
Donate the cost of a coffee and allow others to be heard in their time of need, sponsor our coffee with a Chaplain and help others with life’s twists and turns.
School Programs
Crosscare works closely with our local schools to provide financial assistance to school chaplaincy programs.
Seniors Coffee Event
Imagine a regular event where our senior citizen’s can enjoy gathering together, sharing tales and enjoying the company of others. Our concept is to entice our seniors to get themselves out of their homes and to mix with others. Often our seniors remain in the comfort of their own home and rarely venture out unless it is required e.g. doctors, shopping or required outings.
Hospital Pack
Our local hospital ICU unit seeks care packages for patients that are in their last stages of life, the pack provides a blanket, scented oils, a cross and a soft toy.
Designed by the team of ICU nurses, the pack brings comfort to the patients and families. The knitted or crocheted blanket provides comfort and warmth for the patient, whilst after their passing the family can be comforted by the love other have shared in the provision of these items.
